Our Mission

Where Structural Health Meets Athletic Performance

Ironwood Spine and Joint was founded with a straightforward goal: bring together advanced chiropractic technique and sports-rehabilitation science under one roof in Cedar Falls. Too often, patients are shuttled between providers who never speak to each other. We built a clinic where your chiropractor, your rehabilitation plan, and your progress notes live in one place — and where every appointment moves you forward.

From weekend athletes recovering from a sprain to office workers dealing with chronic low-back pain, we approach every case as a unique structural puzzle — not a symptom to suppress. Our aim is always to restore function, reduce recurrence, and keep you active in the life you want to live.

How We Work

Clinical Philosophy & Core Values

Four principles that guide every decision we make, from your first intake form to your final discharge note.

Diagnose First

We do not apply a treatment until we understand the cause. Every new patient receives a thorough postural, orthopedic, and neurological evaluation before any hands-on work begins.

Transparent Plans

You will know exactly what we recommend, why we recommend it, and what the realistic timeline looks like — before you commit to a single session. No surprise care plans.

Active Rehabilitation

Passive treatment alone rarely produces lasting results. We pair adjustments and manual therapy with corrective exercise and movement coaching so your body stays well between visits.

Discharge With Confidence

Our goal is to make ourselves unnecessary. You leave with a self-management toolkit — exercises, ergonomic guidance, and a clear picture of when to return for maintenance care.

Our clinical staff maintains active licensure and pursues ongoing post-graduate education in rehabilitation science, manual therapy, and sports medicine.
